***Chicago Olympians on Team USA have been hot since August 5th and continue to pursue medals in Brazil through Sunday. But the most decorated locals so far have been in the pool. Palos Height’s Kevin Murphy is a master of the backstroke, winning 3 gold medals this past week. Winnetka’s Conor Dwyer, now known for helping save Michael Phelps, swam freestyle to a gold and bronze medal. Valpo’s Blake Pieroni, Olivia Smoliga from Chicago, and Naperville’s Kevin Cordes all came away with Gold for Team USA in the water as well.
